Morocco reports 642 coronavirus cases, 37 deaths

RABAT, April 1 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from the novel coronavirus on Wednesday reached 37 in Morocco among the 642 confirmed cases, the Ministry of Health said.

A total of 26 patients have recovered from COVID-19, said the ministry's spokesman in a briefing.

The most affected regions are Casablanca with 181 cases, Rabat with 112, Marrakech-Safi with 115, and Fes Meknes with 110.

A total of 100,000 rapid diagnostic tests for COVID-19 are currently being acquired by the North African country, he said.
