AMMAN, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Four new COVID-19 cases were registered in Jordan on Wednesday, raising the overall number of confirmed cases in the country to 278.
Jordan's Health Minister Saad Jaber said in a statement that six patients who recovered from the novel coronavirus were discharged from hospital on Wednesday.
This led to 36 Jordan's total number of recoveries from the viral respiratory disease.
"The low number of cases registered on Wednesday does not mean that the threat is over," the minister cautioned.
Jordanian Minister of State for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh said in a statement that the citizens should "stay home and abide by the curfew and instructions."
"The total curfew on Friday is meant to give an opportunity for the medical teams to conduct necessary medical tests for suspected cases," he added.
Five deaths from the coronavirus have been reported in Jordan since the virus' outbreak in March. Enditem
