JAKARTA, April 7 (Xinhua) -- A 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in the Indian Ocean, 144 kilometers southeastern of Blitar regency in Indonesia's province of East Java, at a depth of 42 km on Tuesday at 3 p.m., the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported.
No tsunami alert was issued by the agency after the earthquake.
The shocks were felt in the cities of Blitar, Nganjuk, Trenggalek and Malang in East Java and no fatalities and damages were reported. Enditem
