ALGIERS, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Algeria on Wednesday reported 12 news death cases of COVID-19 and 104 new infection cases.
Head of COVID-19 Detection and Follow-up Commission Djamel Fourar told reporters that 12 new death cases have been reported in the past 24 hours, less than the 20 cases a day before, noting that the death toll rose to 205.
The daily death cases have been taking a downfall trend for the fourth day in a row, Fourar added.
As for infections, Fourar said as many as 104 new confirmed cases have been reported, bringing the total infection cases to 1,572.
As many as 237 patients have been cured, according to the official.
