Morocco reports 99 new COVID-19 cases

RABAT, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Morocco confirmed on Thursday 99 more cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of the infected cases in the North African country to 1,374.

The death toll from the novel coronavirus reached 97, while the number of cured cases stood at 109, the Health Ministry said.

The most affected regions are Casablanca, with 400 cases, Marrakech-Safi, 261, Rabat-Kenitra, 209, and Fes-Meknes, 172.

Meanwhile, Morocco has made the wearing of face masks compulsory for all people outside their homes starting Tuesday.
