Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Djibouti surge to 150

ADDIS ABABA, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Djibouti's Ministry of Health on Friday announced 10 new COVID-19 confirmed cases, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Horn of Africa nation to 150.

The Djiboutian Ministry of Health, in a statement issued on Wednesday, disclosed that from the total of 341 people who were tested for the novel coronavirus over the last 24 hours,10 people were tested positive for the virus.

According to the ministry, some 36 people who have been tested positive for COVID-19 have so far recovered from the virus since Djibouti confirmed its first case on March 18.

On Thursday, Djibouti had recorded its first COVID-19 related death, as well as five new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Enditem
