KHARTOUM, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Sudan confirmed on Saturday that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 19 while the death toll remained unchanged at two, official SUNA news agency reported.

"Epidemiological reports of the Federal Ministry of Health have confirmed two new cases of infection with the coronavirus, bringing the total number to 19 until Saturday," said SUNA.

It noted that one of the two new cases is a Sudanese man in his 40s with no travel history or contact with the infected or suspected cases.

The other one is a Sudanese woman in her 30s who had been in contact with an infected person who returned from abroad.

The two patients, who both live in Omdurman locality of Khartoum State, are now receiving necessary medical care at an isolation center.

According to the health ministry's latest statistics, the total number of suspected cases at the quarantine centers in the country has reached 268. Enditem
