JERUSALEM, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Israeli researchers developed a method for remote diagnosis of coronavirus using laser beam, Bar Ilan University (BIU) in central Israel reported Sunday.

This is a device that remotely senses, even from tens of meters away, and changes in motility in the tissues caused by the disease.

The device can identify symptoms such as lung rhonchus, fever, and a decrease in the oxygen saturation in the blood.

"Our device can remotely sense nano-motility of the tissue next to the blood vessels and detect changes in motility as a result of these parameters", the researchers said.

According to the team, the capability of the new method to diagnose from a distance can lower the infection risk of medical staffs.

In another study at BIU, researchers are working on the development of antibodies that can be injected as a coronavirus passive vaccine.

The creation of the new antibodies is done by "mapping" antibodies of recovered coronavirus patients. Enditem
