Zimbabwe COVID-19 cases jump to 17

HARARE, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases jumped to 17 in Zimbabwe after three more people tested positive for the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said on Monday.

The three confirmed cases all came from the second largest city of Bulawayo, among whom one patient was neither linked to foreign travel nor in close contact with any confirmed case, one had direct contact with a patient who died of the virus and the other stayed in the same gated community with the deceased but denied any direct contact.

The country has so far conducted a total of 604 COVID-19 tests with three deaths. Enditem
