TRIPOLI, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The Libyan National Center for Disease Control on Tuesday announced nine new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 35.
The center said in a statement that it tested 25 suspected samples, 16 of which were negative and nine positive.
The number of total confirmed COVID-19 cases in Libya so far is 35, including nine recoveries and one death.
Libyan authorities have taken a series of measures against the COVID-19, including closing airports, border crossings, mosques and educational institutions, banning mass gatherings and movements among cities, and imposing a curfew.
