UNITED NATIONS -- It is up to the governing body of the World Health Organization (WHO) to decide where to seek funds in its COVID-19 fight, the chief spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Wednesday.
Stephane Dujarric said it was up to the World Health Assembly, the 194-member state governing body, to decide where to look for funding in the face of the United States withdrawing from WHO financing. (UN-WHO-Coronavirus)

WARSAW -- The Polish Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved the provisions which make mask-wearing obligatory in public spaces starting Thursday.
According to the provisions published after the approval, it will be an obligation for citizens to cover both mouth and nose with a mask or scarf or handkerchief or even part of the clothing in public spaces, including streets, shops, markets, banks, public buildings and public transport. LAGOS -- Police in Nigeria on Wednesday confirmed the killings of six people in different parts of the southern state of Edo.
The state police chief, Lawal Jimeta, who made this known to reporters, said four people were killed in Benin, the state capital, and the other two killed in a neighboring village. (Nigeria-Edo-Killings)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his main rival Benny Gantz failed to meet a midnight deadline on Wednesday night to form an emergency unity government.
