DAR ES SALAAM, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Tanzania's weather authorities on Saturday issued a warning over five days of heavy rains in some parts of the country, including Dar es Salaam, Tanga, Coast and Zanzibar's twin Islands of Pemba and Unguja.
The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) also warned of strong winds along the entire coastal belt of the Indian Ocean.
In its weather forecast, TMA said the rains will cause flooding in some settlements, travel delays and disruption of economic and social activities.
The forecast warned fishermen to be more vigilant, adding that marine transportation was also likely to be disrupted.
On April 11, TMA also issued an alert over strong winds and large waves along the entire Indian Ocean coastal areas. Enditem
