Bangladesh records seven more COVID-19 deaths, 312 confirmed cases

DHAKA, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh Sunday confirmed another seven deaths from COVID-19, said the country's health minister.

"COVID-19 death toll rose to 91 Sunday as health officials confirmed seven more fatalities," Health Minister Zahid Maleque told journalists at a online press briefing.

He said the number of cases increased to 2,456, with 312 more cases reported in the last 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. local time Sunday.

According to the minister, samples from 2,634 persons were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.

During the last 24 hours, he said nine more patients were released from hospital, bringing the number of recovered patients in the country so far to 75. Enditem
