Israel records 15,148 COVID-19 cases, 198 deaths

JERUSALEM, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Ministry of Health reported on Saturday 90 new cases of COVID-19 and four new deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 15,148 and the death toll to 198.

The number of patients in serious condition decreased from 137 to 130, out of 413 patients currently hospitalized.

The number of recoveries increased by 156 to 6,159, reducing the number of active cases to 8,791, the lowest recorded active cases in Israel since April 15.

All street shops in Israel, including barber shops and beauty salons, have received approval from the government to reopen starting from Saturday evening.

However, a full closure will be resumed starting from April 28, the annual Memorial Day for fallen soldiers, at 5 p.m. local time, until the following day, which is Israel's Independence Day, at 8 p.m. local time. Enditem
