Palestine reports 10 new COVID-19 cases, 517 in total

RAMALLAH, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Ten new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Palestinian Territories, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 517, a Palestinian official said on Friday.

Palestinian Health Minister Mai al-Kaila told a news briefing in Ramallah that the ten new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, adding that 9 cases were recorded in two villages west of Ramallah and one case in East Jerusalem.

She also said that three COVID-19 cases have recovered in the last 24 hours, including two in East Jerusalem and one near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

The total recoveries reached 102, she said, adding that four deaths were recorded.

Shawqi Sabha, Chairman of the Doctors Association, said, "The newly infected cases recorded today are of workers who work in Israel and its settlements." Enditem
