Brunei reports no new COVID-19 cases, 1 more recovery

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with the national tally of cases standing at 141.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, one new recovery was recorded on Friday, bringing the total number of recovered cases at 132. The number of active cases still being treated at the National Isolation Center decreased to eight.

Two patients remain in critical condition. One of them require Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and respiratory assistance and one case only requires respiratory assistance. The rest are in a stable condition.

There has been one death resulting from the COVID-19 in Brunei.

So far, 131 individuals are still undergoing quarantine and 2,575 people have completed the quarantine period. Some 15,300 laboratory tests for COVID-19 have been conducted. Enditem
