MOSCOW -- Russia has reported 11,012 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, raising its total number of infections to 209,688, its coronavirus response center said in a statement on Sunday.

TRIPOLI -- The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) on Saturday condemned attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure in Libya, as the deadly armed conflict between the eastern-based army and the UN-backed government continues.

"UNSMIL renews its strong condemnation of attacks impacting civilians and civilian infrastructure and reiterates its call for those responsible for crimes under international law to be brought to justice," UNSMIL said in a statement. (Libya-UN-Attack)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia will continue imposing the movement restricting measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak till June 9, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said on Sunday.

MAZAR-I-SHARIF, Afghanistan -- Four security force members were killed and seven others missing, presumably captured by Taliban militants, during clashes in Afghanistan's northern Balkh province Saturday night, local police said Sunday.
