JAKARTA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- A 5.7-magnitude quake in the depth of 10 km under the seabed struck off Indonesia's eastern Maluku province early Monday, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said here.
The quake hit at 8:06 a.m. Jakarta time (0106 GMT) with the epicenter at 127 km northwest of Maluku Tenggara Barat district.
The quake did not potentially trigger tsunami.
Indonesia has been frequently jolted by earthquakes as it lies on a quake-prone zone in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Enditem
