Fire breaks out on oil tanker at Indonesian port, several missing

JAKARTA, May 11 (Xinhua) -- A fire broke out on a crude oil tanker docked at Waruna Shipyard at the Port of Belawan in Indonesia's province of North Sumatra Monday morning, and several workers have been reportedly rushed to hospitals after suffering burns in the accident.

The number of workers is still missing, and they were reportedly trapped inside the ship which is under repair.

At least six fire engines and three tugboats with water cannons were deployed to put out the fire.

The boat was built in 1999 and owned by Indonesian shipbuilding company PT Waruna Nusa Sentana. Enditem
