VIENTIANE, May 13 (Xinhua) -- One more COVID-19 patient was discharged from hospital in Laos, and no new case was confirmed, Lao Deputy Minister of Health Phouthone Meaungpak told a press conference on Wednesday.
The deputy minister said the recovered patient is a 20-year-old student who returned from Britain.
The patient was confirmed as the country's 14th case of COVID-19 and had been treated in Mittaphab Hospital since April 7.
The total number of confirmed cases in Laos remained at 19, as no new case was confirmed for 31 consecutive days. A total of 14 patients have recovered.
As of Wednesday, Laos has tested 3,975 suspected cases.
The five active cases are treated in the designated hospital -- Mittaphab Hospital (Hospital 150) in Lao capital Vientiane.
