NEW YORK -- Global confirmed COVID-19 cases topped 4.6 million on Saturday, reaching 4,605,673 as of 3:32 p.m. (1932 GMT), according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on Saturday said that it had launched an investigation into President Donald Trump's firing of the State Department Inspector General Steve Linick on Friday.
