Air France flight from Brazil makes emergency landing in Lisbon

LISBON, May 21 (Xinhua) -- An airplane coming from the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro and bound for Paris had to make an emergency landing at Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport at noon on Thursday.

According to information from Portugal Airports (ANA), the emergency landing was made to provide medical assistance to a passenger who felt sick during the flight.

The passenger has already been taken to a hospital, Portuguese private broadcaster CMTV reported.

Also according to the airport control body in Portugal, there were no other repercussions and delays and the flight had already followed its planned route in the early afternoon.

It is a Boeing 777 aircraft from Air France with flight ID AF407, which left Brazil on Wednesday night local time. Enditem
