BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

MANILA -- The Philippine health department on Friday reported 163 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 13,597.
In a daily bulletin, the Department of Health said 92 more patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the number of recoveries to 3,092. It added that 11 more patients have died from the COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 857.

CANBERRA -- Almost 6,500 Australians have recovered from COVID-19, the government has revealed.
Alison McMillan, the chief Nursing and Midwifery officer, told reporters on Friday afternoon that 6,479 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Australia, which she described as a "really encouraging number."

BISHKEK -- Kyrgyzstan's Health Ministry on Friday confirmed 37 new COVID-19 cases, raising its total number of infections to 1,350, including 14 deaths and 949 recoveries.
Among the newly infected, three are medical workers, taking the total number of medical workers diagnosed with COVID-19 to 273, Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbaev said at a daily briefing.

ULAN BATOR -- Mongolia on Friday reported one more COVID-19 case, bringing the nationwide tally to 141, according to the National Center for Communicable Diseases.
"A total of 403 tests for COVID-19 were conducted across Mongolia yesterday and one of them tested positive," the center's head Dulmaa Nyamkhuu said at a daily press conference.

BAKU -- Azerbaijan on Thursday received another two batches of anti-epidemic medical supplies donated by the Chinese government to help the country fight against the coronavirus.
The batches include 10 non-invasive ventilators, 3,500 protective clothing units, 600,000 disposable face masks, 50,000 KN95 masks and other supplies.
