Ukraine's COVID-19 cases exceed 20,000

KIEV, May 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 20,148 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 588 deaths, were reported in Ukraine on Friday, while 6,585 patients have recovered, the country's health ministry said.

As of Friday, 1,434 children and 3,907 health workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19. In the past 24 hours, 442 new patients have tested positive for the virus in Ukraine.

A total of 6,332 coronavirus patients, including 717 health workers, have been hospitalized since the outbreak in the country.

On Wednesday, the Ukrainian government introduced an adaptive quarantine starting from Friday until June 22, the second stage of the lifting of quarantine restrictions. Enditem
