BERLIN, May 24 (Xinhua) -- The first meeting of two of the Bundesliga's most hailed stars couldn't be more delicate.

Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski might represent different generations but this Tuesday evening, all eyes will be on the 19-year-old Norwegian and the 31-year-old Pole as their teams battle for nothing less than the German league championship.

The highly anticipated duel between the country's record champion and the Blacks and Yellows in the Dortmund arena will be played under unusual circumstances due to the coronavirus crisis.

The Bundesliga's match of the day in the 28th round will take place behind closed doors with fans having to stay at home.

Statistics indicate that the clash will be Borussia's (57 points) last chance to knock reigning champions (61) off the top of the table by the end of the season.

Nevertheless, the two prominent strikers are expected to tip the scales.

The Dortmund wunderkind and the Bavarians grandmaster might not be comparable, but their clubs' encounter is seemingly being reduced to a private showdown. For some, Dortmund vs. Bayern is the duel of the promising youngster against the clever old hand.

Before kick-off, fans debate about who of the two might be the better striker.

The future may belong to the blond Scandinavian who tops the shopping lists of Europe's top sides. His rival Lewandowski seems to have already reached the peak of his career.

Having scored 30 percent of his goals after counter-attacks, Haaland has provided sufficient proof of his outstanding sprinting qualities. Against Paris Saint-Germain, he ran 60 meters in a remarkable 6.64 seconds.

The Bayern spearhead, on the contrary, is more the master of the box, with only four percent.

While Lewandowski has scored five of his 27 league goals with his head, the 1.94-meter-tall rival is far from being an aerial powerhouse. The former RB Salzburg player has scored all his 10 league goals with either his left or right foot.

Lewandowski lurks in the penalty box, running onto crosses and passes seemingly out of nowhere and always finds a promising spot to finish.

The Bayern striker has not only worked on his penalty strategy but developed into a specialist for free kicks. When taking 31 of his 34 penalties, the Pole waited for the goalkeeper to react before shooting.

Haaland intrudes into the opponents' penalty box like a cunning marauder.

Scoring the first Bundesliga goal after the restart in the derby against Schalke (4-0), he caught up a distance of 2.4m to the defenders of the bitter local rivals. He ended up with a 1.4m lead before converting.

The Dortmund's courageous striker turns seemingly hopeless situations into fruitful opportunities.

Lewandowski has given up plans to join a big club abroad to fulfill his dream of winning the Champions League. The Bayern attacker says he feels confident of helping the Bavarians to do the job until his contract runs out in 2023.

Haaland is reportedly on the list of Europe's big sides. Latest rumors talk of Juventus considering him to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Media reports speak about an exit-clause worth 75 million euros valid for 2022.

Lewandowski has dedicated all parts of his life to his football career. Together with his wife, the technically skilled striker has optimized his nutrition. Details make the difference, he announced.

At least when it comes to a professional lifestyle, Haaland seems to be following the Pole's example. The youngster admitted to wearing glasses with a blue light filter to watch TV and work with mobile or computer. "It makes me sleep better," he underlined. Enditem
