FRANKFURT, May 27 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 153.04 points, or 1.33 percent, to close at 11,657.69 points.
Automotive manufacturer Daimler won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 8.85 percent. Material manufacturer Covestro and automotive manufacturer BMW gained by 6.42 percent and 4.86 percent respectively.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and pharmaceutical company Merck were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 4.48 percent, 2.32 percent and 2.22 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 487.3 million euros (534.8 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
