BANGKOK, May 28 (Xinhua) -- After a few weeks of respite, Thailand saw a jump into new double digits of COVID-19 cases, with health authorities reporting 11 cases on Thursday.

The total number of cases now stand at 3,065. Meanwhile total recoveries are at 2,945.

There were no new fatalities reported on Thursday, with the death toll remaining at 57.

The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration spokesman Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin said that all 11 new cases are Thais arriving from India, Qatar and Kuwait and are currently in state quarantine.

Taweesin said he was glad that new locally-infected cases remained at zero.

The spokesman also dismissed speculation that boxing stadiums and massage parlors will be allowed to reopen in the next stage of lockdown relaxations, insisting that no such decision has been made. Enditem
