JERUSALEM, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Israeli basketball champion Maccabi Tel Aviv announced Sunday the departure of former NBA player Nate Wolters, as agreed between both sides.

Point guard Wolters, aged 29, joined Maccabi in June 2019 with a two-year contract.

Playing with Maccabi, Wolters averaged 19:18 minutes and 7.5 points in 15 Euroleague games but missed many other games because of injuries.

Wolters' NBA career included a total of 84 appearances with Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz, averaging 18:48 minutes and 5.5 points.

His European career includes playing for Turkey's Besiktas, Serbia's Red Star Belgrade, French club Elan Chalon and Zalgiris Kaunas of Lithuania.

In its statement, the Israeli club thanked Wolters "for his professionalism, efforts and commitment during his time in yellow and blue". Enditem
