SYDNEY -- Premier of Australian State of Victoria Daniel Andrews maintained his strong commitment to a healthy ongoing relationship with China, stating that it has never been more important than the moment.

Speaking to Channel Seven News on Monday, Andrews pointed out that Victoria has dozens of important agreements with China, responsible for keeping thousands of Australians in jobs. (Australia-Victoria-China)

NEW DELHI -- India's federal health ministry Monday morning reported 230 new deaths due to COVID-19 and 8,392 more positive cases during the past 24 hours across the country, taking the number of deaths to 5,394 and total cases to 190,535.

This was so far the highest single-day spike in the cases.

SUVA -- China donated medical supplies to Fiji on Monday to help the South Pacific island nation fight against COVID-19.

At the handover ceremony of the medical supplies, Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Qian Bo said China will provide 1,008 test kits for Fiji.

China's Guangdong province provides 20,000 medical masks, 5,000 disposable gloves, 1,000 surgical masks and 500 medical disposable protective clothing to the Fijian government. (China-Fiji-Donation)

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan condemned late on Sunday the Indian government's decision to declare two officials of the High Commission for Pakistan in New Delhi as persona non grata requiring them to leave India within 24 hours.

The two Pakistani diplomats were declared persona non grata on charges of "espionage," according to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs. The two officials were apprehended by Indian law enforcement authorities for involving in espionage activities. (Pakistan-India-Persona non grata) Enditem
