TOKYO, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks rose Tuesday morning as investor confident improved after Wall Street's advance overnight on expectations that the U.S. economic revival is gathering pace after the lockdowns.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 185.66 points, or 0.84 percent, from Monday to 22,248.05.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 14.86 points, or 0.95 percent, at 1,583.61.
Mining, real estate and machinery-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break. Enditem
