BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia registered in the last 24 hours 1,975 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 93,157 in the country, the health ministry tweeted on Thursday.

The death toll in the kingdom reached 611 after the reporting of 32 new fatalities, according to the ministry.

THE HAGUE -- The death toll from the novel coronavirus in the Netherlands grew by 13 since Wednesday to a total of 5,990, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment announced on Thursday.

The death toll in the last 24 hours was higher than Wednesday's figure, when 10 COVID-19 patients were reported dead.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN -- Brunei reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday with the national tally of cases standing at 141, marking the 28th consecutive day without new cases since May 7.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, no more recoveries were recorded on Thursday, maintaining the total number of recovered cases at 138.

COPENHAGEN -- From June 15, it will become mandatory to wear face masks at Danish airports for domestic and international travelers alike, according to new guidelines issued by the Danish aviation authority on Thursday.

Passengers will be required to wear face masks to prevent the spread of the coronavirus upon entering the airport, while sitting in the airplane, and until they leave the airport terminal at their final destination.

BEIJING -- China's civil aviation regulator on Thursday adjusted policies for international passenger flights, allowing more foreign carriers to resume flights to China on a once-a-week basis starting from June 8.

Foreign airlines that have been unable to operate flights to China over the past few months due to the novel coronavirus pandemic can choose a qualified Chinese city for entry starting Monday, according to an online statement by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

MINSK -- Belarus reported 865 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking its total to 45,981.
