SINGAPORE, June 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.24 percent, or 6.30 points, to close at 2,628.62.
A total of 1.70 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.26 billion Singapore dollars (about 906 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 237 to 174.
The STI index went up 0.2 percent, or 5.23 points, to close at 2,634.92 Tuesday. Enditem
