TUNIS, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Ministry of Health reported on Saturday four new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of the infected in the country to 1,168.

According to the ministry statement, a total of 1,025 patients have recovered in Tunisia while 50 deaths were reported.

After three months of closure due to COVID-19 pandemic, Tunisia reopened on Saturday all its air, land and maritime borders to receive Tunisians living abroad as well as tourists.

The Tunisian Ministry of Health announced a health protocol to ensure the health security in the country.

The Tunisian authorities have classified countries with a color code according to the level of the pandemic.

The "green" areas include 45 countries with a low prevalence of COVID-19, where the arrivals will not be subject to special preventive measures.

Anyone wishing to enter Tunisia from countries classified as "orange" must present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 before the trip. Tourists must stay in the hotels they have booked with a precise tourist circuit, while Tunisian residents arriving from abroad must isolate themselves for 14 days.

The health protocol prohibits the acceptance of any tourists from the countries classified as "red."

China has helped Tunisia with its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 16, China donated a batch of medical aid to Tunisia's Ministry of National Defense. Enditem
