India's federal health ministry reported 380 new deaths and 19,459 more positive cases, taking the number of deaths to 16,475 and total cases to 548,318. The local government in Indian capital city Delhi said it will create a plasma bank for the treatment of patients.

The number of infections in Indonesia rose by 1,082 within one day to 55,092, with the death toll adding by 51 to 2,805, Achmad Yurianto, a Health Ministry official, said at a press conference.

Australian authorities have denied that the nation is in the midst of a "second wave" of COVID-19 despite an outbreak of pandemic in the state of Victoria.

The Australian government's Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer Alison McMillan said that the spike in cases was "a community outbreak in one part of the city" and praised authorities for their handling of the recent outbreaks.

Malaysia reported another three new cases, bringing the national total to 8,637, the Health Ministry said. Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said in a press briefing that one of the new cases is imported and two more are local transmissions.

The number of cases in the Philippines soared to 36,438 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 985 more infections, and the number of recoveries further rose to 9,956 after 270 more patients have survived the disease.

New Zealand reported two new cases in managed isolation, who have recently returned from overseas, bringing the total active cases in the country to 22, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

The New Zealand government is focusing on keeping the country's border safe and secure in its fight against the pandemic, Health Minister David Clark said.

South Korea reported 42 more cases, raising the total number of infections to 12,757. The daily caseload moved roughly between 30 and 60 in recent weeks due to the continued small cluster infections and imported cases. Of the new cases, 12 were imported, lifting the combined figure to 1,562. Enditem
