Ukraine reports 876 new COVID-19 cases, total exceeds 46,700

KIEV, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine reported 876 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, taking its nationwide tally to 46,763, according to the country's health ministry.
The country also recorded 1,212 deaths and 20,558 recoveries on Friday.
Since the beginning of the country's epidemic, 3,382 children and 6,874 health workers have tested positive for COVID-19. A total of 12,463 patients have been hospitalized, 403 of whom were put on ventilators.
On June 17, the Ukrainian government extended its quarantine restrictions until July 31, which have been in place since May 22. Enditem
