BEIJING -- China's home appliance sector saw falling profits and revenue in the first five months of the year due to COVID-19, official data showed.
The industry's total profit came in at 34.59 billion yuan (about 4.9 billion U.S. dollars) during the January-May period, down 17.9 percent year on year, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). (China-Home Appliance-Profit)

KATHMANDU -- Nepal's tourism industry is estimated to lose 34 billion Nepali Rupees (282 million U.S. dollar) since the Nepali government enforced lockdown in March to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, according to Nepal's Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.

BEIJING -- China's futures market in June reported double-digit growth in both trading volume and turnover, industry data showed.
The trading volume of futures last month stood at 458.87 million lots, with a turnover of 30.85 trillion yuan (around 4.36 trillion U.S. dollars), according to the China Futures Association. (China-Market-Futures)

BEIJING -- China's leading train manufacturer CRRC Corporation Ltd. signed contracts worth 34.68 billion yuan (about 4.9 billion U.S. dollars) in the second quarter of the year, according to a statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
