TEHRAN, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A fire outbreak in an Iranian power plant in the southwestern city of Ahvaz on Saturday caused a disruption in power supply in parts of the city, Tasnim news agency reported.

The flare broke out in one of the transformers in the Zaragan power plant of Khuzestan Province, Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi, spokesman of Power Industry, told Tasnim.

The blaze has been extinguished by the firefighters and the electricity supply restored, Rajabi Mashhadi was quoted as saying.

On Tuesday, an explosion and subsequent fire at a medical clinic in the northern district of Iran's capital Tehran resulted in the death of 19 people and the injury of 14 others.

On Thursday, another fire caused damage to an uncompleted structure at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility. Enditem
