BELGRADE, July 5 (Xinhua) -- The coalition around the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) won 60.65 percent of votes in the country's parliamentary election, read the final report of the Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) published on Sunday.

The party led by Aleksandar Vucic, president of Serbia, thus won 188 seats in the 250-seat parliament, followed by the coalition around their current ruling partner Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), with 10.38 percent of votes and 32 mandates.

The regular parliamentary elections were held on June 21, and repeated on several hundred polling stations on July 1.

Besides the SNS and the SPS, five more election lists will be represented in the parliament, which include the Serbian Patriotic Alliance led by the former water polo star Aleksandar Sapic (3.83 percent) and four coalitions of national minorities.

In total, some 3.2 million out of nearly 6.6 million registered voters cast their ballots, bringing the overall turnout to 48.93 percent.

RIK has the deadline of 10 days to award mandates to MPs after which the parliament will be constituted within 30 days. The legal deadline to form the government is 90 days after the parliament holds its inaugural session. Enditem
