Belarusian gold and foreign currency reserves increased by 916.4 million U.S. dollars in June, after a 3.7 million decrease, or 0.05 percent, in May.
As of July 1, Belarusian gold and foreign currency reserves amounted to 8.8 billion U.S. dollars as against 9.4 billion of January 1. Since the beginning of the year, foreign exchange reserves have decreased by 6.4 percent, or 597.8 million.
The placement of eurobonds was the main factor of the increase of gold and foreign currency reserves in June, the bank said.
