German shares gain 1.15 pct Friday

FRANKFURT, July 10 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index up 144.25 points, or 1.15 percent, to close at 12,633.71 points.

Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 5.09 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies gained by 4.15 percent and 4.13 percent respectively.

Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard, renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical and pharmaceutical company Merck were the top three losers among the blue chips, by falling 5.30 percent, 0.43 percent and 0.36 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most-traded share with a turnover of 225.0 million euros (253.7 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
