LONDON, July 14 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Tuesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.06 percent, or 3.56 points, to close at 6,179.75 points.
BT Group, a British multinational telecommunications holding company, soared 4.05 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. BP and Imperial Brands increased by 2.65 percent and 2.52 percent, respectively.
Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, a publicly traded investment trust, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 6.88 percent.
