BEIJING -- The Chinese government has released a circular clarifying the rules of quarantine and nucleic acid testing for overseas arrivals.

According to the circular issued Thursday by the State Council joint prevention and control mechanism against COVID-19, inbound passengers should receive nucleic acid testing before boarding the plane to enter the country. (China-COVID-19-Quarantine)

JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 1,761 within one day to 95,418, with the death toll adding by 89 to 4,665, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

According to the ministry, 1,781 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 53,945. (Indonesia-COVID-19)

MANILA -- The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 76,444 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,103 new cases on Friday.

NEW DELHI-- Flooding in India's northeastern state of Assam has affected over 5.6 million people and killed 93, officials said Friday.

TRIPOLI -- The U.S. Ambassador to Libya Richard Norland reiterated U.S. opposition to all foreign military interference in Libya, U.S. embassy to Libya said late Thursday.
