VIENTIANE -- The Chinese embassy in Laos has donated 500 electronic smart boards to Lao kids in the affiliated kindergarten of the National University of Laos (NUOL) in capital Vientiane.

PUL-E-KHUMRI, Afghanistan -- Four civilians were killed and another injured as a roadside bomb struck a car in Pul-e-Khumri city, the capital of northern Baghlan province on Friday, Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said.

Blaming Taliban militants for planting the mine, the official said that the "Taliban terrorists planted the mine on a road in Bagh-e-Shaml area" and the device struck a car in the evening, killing four innocent civilians on the spot and injuring another. (Afghanistan-Roadside Bomb)

YANGON -- Myanmar reported three more imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday night, bringing the total number of infections to 346, according to the Health and Sports Ministry.

CANBERRA, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Australia's Prime Minister (PM) declared that the National Cabinet had committed to a suppression strategy in response to COVID-19.
