OTTAWA, July 25 (Xinhua) -- The China International Import Expo (CIIE) provides an opportunity to access the world market, said a Canadian entrepreneur whose company has attended the second CIIE last year in Shanghai, China.

"The CIIE, which we have attended, is exactly that gateway to the world to showcase our products," said Roger Geinerich, vice president for marketing with the Canadian company Maholi Inc.

Geinerich, who has traveled extensively across the world, including China, told Xinhua in a recent interview that his company would love to share its products with the world.

Maholi Inc. is a manufacturer of high-end home decor, linens, duvets and feather beds, which is located in Toronto, Canada.

One thing Maholi has learnt with the CIIE's experience is the Chinese consumers' demand, Geinerich said.

"The CIIE is a market we want for our products, a gathering of consumers who understand the longevity and the craftsmanship that went into the products," Geinerich added.

The CIIE is a trade fair held annually in Shanghai since 2018. The CIIE is the first dedicated import exhibition in the world and has seen fruitful outcomes in the past two expos.

The third CIIE is scheduled from Nov. 5 to 10 this year and more than 90 percent of the planned exhibition area has already been booked. Enditem
