JAKARTA -- Indonesia and the Philippines have been jointly rescuing dozens of endangered species from international wildlife trafficking and sending them back into their habitats in Indonesia.

As many as 91 endangered animals which have been smuggled to the Philippines have been sent back to Indonesia, the Indonesian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday. (Indonesia-Philippines-Wildlife Trafficking)

KABUL -- One policeman was killed and two people were injured as a blast struck a police van in Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday, police spokesman Ferdaus Faramarz said.

NEW DELHI -- India's federal health ministry on Tuesday reported 654 new deaths due to COVID-19 and 47,703 new positive cases, taking the number of deaths to 33,425 and total cases to 1,483,156.

ISLAMABAD -- An armed clash between police and fugitives early Tuesday in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan region in north Pakistan left at least seven people dead, including five policemen and two civilians, local media reported.
