Armenia reports 209 new COVID-19 cases

YEREVAN, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Armenia on Sunday reported 209 new COVID-19 cases in the last day, bringing its total to 39,050, according to the National Center for Disease Control.

Data from the center showed that 193 more patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 29,750.

Meanwhile, five people died in the period, raising the death toll to 754.

The center said over 166,701 people have been tested for COVID-19 since the country reported its first case on March 1. Enditem
