NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted 56 km southwest of Acari, Peru at 22:18:04 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 15.8705 degrees south latitude and 74.87 degrees west longitude. Enditem
