223 new COVID-19 cases reported in Oman

MUSCAT, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Omani Ministry of Health reported 223 new COVID-19 cases in Oman on Sunday.

The ministry said in a statement that among those new cases, there are 148 Omanis and 75 non-Omanis, and the total cases in the country has now reached 81,580.

Meanwhile, 1,210 more patients recovered, bringing the total recovered cases in the country to 74,691.

And Oman reported four new deaths from the COVID-19, taking the death toll in the country to 513, the statement added.

The ministry urged people to adhere to social distancing instructions, and stay at home avoiding going out unless necessary. Enditem.
