COVID-19 cases in Oman up 249 to 82,299

MUSCAT, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Omani Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that the total number of COVID-19 cases in Oman rose by 249 to 82,299.

The ministry said in a statement that the number of patients who have recovered from the COVID-19 in the country stood at 77,072, while the death toll hit 539.

"Obtaining COVID-19 vaccines depends on international accreditation over their efficiency, safety and readiness for use," Omani Minister of Health Ahmed Al Saidi on Wednesday told Oman News Agency. Enditem
