WASHINGTON -- The impasse in U.S. Congress over renewal of the expiring programs that mitigated the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic threatens to undo the stimulus effect of the programs and exacerbate the economic damage from the lockdown, according to a newly released study.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) notified Yale University on Thursday of its findings that the institution discriminated Asian American and white applicants in its admissions process.

The DOJ said in a press release that its findings "are the result of a two-year investigation in response to a complaint by Asian American groups concerning Yale's conduct," and that "Yale rejects scores of Asian American and white applicants each year based on their race, whom it otherwise would admit." GENEVA -- A senior expert of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Thursday that it is currently in conversation with Russia to get additional information about the COVID-19 vaccine that Russia will start production soon.

JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday his country and the United Arab Emirates reached "a full and official peace deal."

In a broadcast press conference, Netanyahu said the move "opens a new era" of cooperation between the two countries and hailed it as "a historic breakthrough towards peace in the Middle East."
